When originally released Cross Rhythms raved about this live album recorded in Leeds, Shepton Mallet and Birmingham at the tail end of 1996. Now lovingly remastered, this shows the band at their finest with Joanne Hogg's voice beautifully captivating and her 14-minute version of "When I Survey" a milestone in Christian music history. Elsewhere there are plenty of roof-blowing gems like "Treasure", "Irish Day" and "Chi Rho" delivered with exemplary musicianship that the Celtic rock jazz fusion band seem to effortlessly bring forth. Classic stuff.

Product Description
Heaven's Bright Sun dates from 1997 and is IONA's first live album. Devoting two discs to capturing the bands live set at this time the album draws on material from the bands previous studio albums and includes such key Iona tracks as Turning Tide, Kells Theme and Flight Of The Wild Goose. There is also the previously unrecorded Reels Medley that features the immense talents of Troy Donockley on uillean pipes. The album has been unavailable for a short time and has now been remastered for this release.
