Every now and again when Hosanna put out an album where the worship leader is a 'name' in the subculture, a sleeve credit 'with guest worship leader so-and-so' appears to vary the usual anonymity of the bulk of their albums. On this one, Ian White gets the star billing and if you greet such revelation with an "Ian who?", you've clearly never been to Scotland. There, our brother has the same evangelical-icon status as...gasp...Graham Kendrick, and his series of 'Psalms' albums and pack-the-churches events have for years been the primary means of taking contemporary praise to St Andrew's territory. It's a great shame then that this album fails to fully live up to the potential of giving one of British Christendom's most anointed worship leaders a big American recording budget. The problem is that, rather than playing to lan's strengths - inventive and occasionally inspired songwriting - they hand him a set of American worship songs, therefore submerging lan's originality. His voice is pleasant enough, and there's a nice spot where he scats over the percussion, but on the whole it's a rather forgettable set, with only Kelly Willard's vocal interjections (completely uncredited on the tiresomely uninformative sleeve) bringing some musical spark.

Wow! I was listening to this album with Ian White leading on YouTube. Over here (USA) this same album was recorded with Lenny LeBlanc as the worship leader. Same recording but Lenny as the WL.

Pure heart by Ian White is one of my best CDs ever, He is so anointed, the words of these songs are so powerfully sung, I love all the songs but especially "O God, You are my God"

This is undoubtedly one of the most powerful praise and worship albums. Its a worshiper's blessing. I have never stopped enjoying this anointed music since the first time I listened to it in 1993.

Right now im listening to the album and it still resonates the same passion and anointing as it did more more than 15 years ago

I totally agree with you Mupesa, I use to be so addicted to this song, I felt real lifted when I listened to this Song, I feel that Ian White is very blessed and I caught some of that blessing off listening to this CD.
This was a long time ago, I lost the CD when I was moving from Germany to the USA, and ever since I have tried so hard to find it but I just can't find it anywhere.

So my question is this, Does anyone have a clue as to where I can lay my hands on a copy of this CD?

Thanks
