Rich Gomez leads the worship on this album of enthusiastic praise recorded live at the Ritz Theater, Elisabeth, New Jersey. Gomez fronts a '110 voice, multi-ethnic choir' with no mean skill, while instrumentally arranger/producer Tom Brooks serves up punchy arrangements and is himself much in evidence on Hammond complementing some tight brass lines and a strong rhythm section. As with many live albums, there is little variation in style, but the playing and singing are top quality throughout and a special mention should go to sax player Justo Almario. This then is the polished product we would expect from Hosanna! Music but the exuberance of the worship ensures that this is praise and not mere performance.
