Unfortunately, Hillsongs have come in for quite a bit of stick in recent months. The reason for this lies less with the church itself (though there are some far from happy with Pastor Brian Houston's seeming adoption of health and wealth theology) than with the growing number of copycat Hillsongs which are springing up with alarming regularity all over the place. The originators of the fuss have quietly been going about the business of producing anointed and high quality praise and worship collections, which really took off with 1998's 'Touching Heaven, Changing Earth' and continues with this set, recorded nearly a year ago in February 2001. Where this one differs from earlier albums is that it contains only four uptempo numbers, preferring to concentrate on magnificently uplifting ballads such as "Irresistable", "Emmanuel", and the marvellous "Forever". However, when they do raise the tempo, they do it with style. Check out the electrifying "Your Love Is Beautiful", complete with massed percussion solos and '70s disco flava, as well as the rousing closer "My Best Friend", where everyone gets to rock out with gusto. Forget the naysayers, this is yet another class set.
