Helen and her musical colleague Pete Brazier are this album. They did everything apart from the cover design. I tip my hat to them. The result is a good first attempt which clearly shows potential. Helen displays a mature songwriting ability and is not afraid of dipping into various styles including raw piano and voice, electro vibes, dance and bluesy-jazz. My favourite is "Since I Met You" which sees a widening of Helen's voice giving it a lower, softer feel, with bass guitar framing a fluid piano melody. In second place comes the dance-inspired "In Pieces" followed closely by "If This Is love" which has a definite sense of Mike Oldfield about it. The fact that they did everything does detract from the quality of the final product but that is to be expected. I would like to hear the album again after being in the hands of a top recording studio. This isn't a Christian album in the classical sense of the word, I don't think they mention Jesus. It is Christian by virtue of the writer and performers holding to the faith.
