This band is a team of alternative rockers from California who have signed with Tooth & Nail. This EP, released last year, has rather split the critics, one reviewer writing that "'These Hands' is surprisingly mature and extremely polished sounding more like a second or third album" while another suggested "the EP isn't mind-blowing original or even the best in its genre." In fact this three-piece kick off with a strong first song, "Wake Up" which exudes a reflective and mellow vibe with Stephen Ramos' voice sounding a little bit like that of Aaron Gillespie. All six tracks are well produced with good interplay between the instruments and the best to my mind is the closer "These Hands" with its confessional coda "These hands are dirty/Won't you make them clean?" Honesty like that in a rock release is hard to resist.
