You certainly know what's in store for you from the opening guitar riff on the first CD of this three CD set, 'Letters To The President'. This album, released in 2004, is full of energy and the title track is typical of the entire collection of tunes on offer. The guitar of Jonathan Steingard hits you straight between the ears while the bass of Daniel Biro and drumming from Justin Benner provide the solid rhythm for frontman Jason Dunn to weave his urgent vocals. "California" encapsulates the sound of the whole album with its enthusiasm and thoughtful lyrics. The second disc, 'Smile, It's The End Of The World', released in 2006, continues where the previous album left off. There's more of the same infectious guitar and pulsating rhythm section yet the two years since the previous offering has encouraged a more thoughtful and melodic arrangement to their tunes. This is evident on "The Show", which stands out as a more mature song in both its musical and lyrical content. The third album, 2008's 'Hawk Nelson Is My Friend' continues the development of the band as a great rock outfit able to riff with the best but also bring a more subtle approach to their songwriting. The opening guitar riff on "Turn It On" shows just how mush the band had progressed as the song hooks you straight from the start. "Let's Dance" is an invitation you can't refuse as the band translate their faith into a song that reflects life with all its ups and downs. Hawk Nelson are more than just a good rock band, they communicate both their faith and excellent musicianship.

Product Description
These Ontario natives, discovered by Trevor McNevan (Thousand Foot Krutch, FM Static), built their fan base by becoming one of the hardest working unsigned bands, fronting the bills for self-promotion, renting out venues and creating an underground following worthy of any label’s notice. Now comes Hawkology, a collection of their last three albums: ‘Letters To The President’, ‘Smile, It’s The End Of The World’ and ‘Hawk Nelson Is My Friend’.
Hawk Nelson rocked their way into the hearts of anyone in their path with their debut release in 2004, now three albums later music lovers have enjoyed a real camaraderie with rising pop-punk band Hawk Nelson, helping the quartet sell nearly half a million albums, land personal appearances on major television and motion picture projects, and gain high-profile song placement (‘Bring ‘Em Out’) with NBC’s NFL Sunday Night Football campaign.
“For all of their adventures and successes thus far, the members of Hawk Nelson still see themselves as ‘four guys just trying to make it’, says frontman Jason Dunn. “We’ll always be working toward that, trying to be THE band and write the best songs possible.” Hawkology most definitely lives up to that goal.
