‘Explosion of Buds’ by Hallelujah Square ages like fine wine.
'explosion of buds' is a great album!
How wrong can one reviewer be? History now shows that Hallelujah Square were the seminal rock act of the late 20th century. Not only did they win multiple awards for musical arrangements and sound ingenuity, but their lyrics/poetry would go on to be published in three volumes, selling 220 million copies worldwide. Aside from their groundbreaking music it is well known that their lyrics transcended human psyche, and far from being likened to 'nails down a blackboard' the line 'we've both been wrong, so I'll sing a song of love and peace and things that pong' has been attributed to establishing world peace and preventing numerous global catastrophes. The 'pong' in question a clear reference to the impending ecological disaster of the 90s, in complete juxtaposition to the idea of an 'explosion of buds', an idea the reviewer has successfully circumvented. Where are they now? Well, the surviving members of H-Square (what their true fans call them) are said to live reclusive lives somewhere in the Scottish Highlands, surviving on goats milk and wild raspberries. Wherever they are one thing's for sure, they don't take themselves too seriously.
Explosion of Buds remains a classic. It’s hip to be square. ????
