Since his first gospel blues album release 'Prayin Blues' in 1999, Gypsy Carns has produced a legacy of outstanding recordings. Recently awarded with the Blues Artist Of The Year award voted by Indieheaven, and a change in his "day job", Gypsy has now presented the world with his new recording. The first track "Meridian" (his new home), is a blues and country mix, which is instantly memorable. This sets the tone for the CD in which a skilful mix of musical and lyrical styles are applied. For example, "Freedom Found A Friend" regularly breaks into an unexpected reggae chorus! The song, "7Seals" is taken from the Book Of Revelation, while the tongue-in-cheek "Stock Market Blues", with a prophetic sense of humour about the world's current financial problems, finishes with a plea to his wife to "not open that statement"! There also is a touch of political comment on Bush in "Disaster Calling". This album is the next step for the master blues craftsman and illustrates what music of any type can do in the right hands.
