Chris Bowater, Johnny Markin, Trish Morgan and Dave Middleton are among the worship leaders featured on this double CD retrospective celebrating 20 years of Grapevines. Unfortunately, its value as a piece of history is considerably lessened by the sleeve’s failure to indicate what recordings stem from what years. I can report though that this compilation features standards such as “These Are The Days Of Elijah”, “Over All The Earth” and “Your Love Is Amazing” alongside some re-worked classics like “Jesus Be The Centre”. Throughout it’s all played, recorded and produced to a high standard. The worship leading is sensitive and effortless whilst the heart and direction is relentlessly Jesus centred. If you are looking for well led, skilfully played worship then feed this CD into your player. But as with the recently released Spring Harvest retrospective, this fails to do justice to an important event.
