This Minnesota threesome may be new to the international marketplace but they clearly already have a pretty substantial ministry having clocked up more than 100,000 sales of their three independent albums. Now signed to the Newsboys' record label and hooked up with top producer Todd Colins (dc Talk, Katinas, etc) they're clearly ready for the next level though it's now just marketing muscle that's been added to the scenario. For Mr Collins has grafted on some crisp percussion, jangly guitars and even a few funky samples so that the band's original sound - primarily an acapella affair - becomes a snappy, pop sound, almost boy band, on the up tempo songs and more 4Him-style harmony pop on the classy ballads. Some excellent songs too. Maybe a little too Americanesque for many Brits, but undeniably classy.
