Surely Glen's finest ever album. At long long last he's pushed through the mush barrier, and settled for songs which shine with integrity and solid songwriting craft (from the talented pens of Jimmy Webb, Jim Weatherly, Bob Bennett, Phil Driscoll and more) and brought in a choice selection of guests, from gravelly voiced CCM star Russ Taff to Canada's pop-country star Ann Murray. Particularly effective are the tracks he shares with the Christ Church Choir which shine with high praise atmosphere while the production by Jonathan David Brown, Ken Harding and Bergen White is lush without being emasculating. Glen's country-tinge is not really evident but for high quality MOR gospel, I've seldom heard better.

When I heard "JESUS & Me" and it was Glen Campbell singing it was like WOW! I totally love this song, co-written by ccm artist Phil Driscoll.
This was Glen's song to sing ! I have always liked his country songs. A great duet with top ccm artist Russ Taff starts the songset; "The Greatest Gift Of All"
the perfect song for Glen to sing with Russ. No surprise the great quality of songs chosen, that Jonathan David Brown was the genius producer :I was disappointed that he didn't join in with his vocals.
Top musician Jimmy Webb who supplied Glen with country hits and has worked with numerous artists of various genres to include pop icon Art Garfunkel and also top ccm artist Amy Grant, gives his helping hand to this project with some songs; to include a fave,
"Where I am Going". Top notch songwriter Geoff Thurman (writer of Amy Grant's JEHOVAH) helped with the writing of "The Wayward Son"; great song!
Top ccm singer/songwriter Phillip Sandifer's "Unto the Least of These" is included: btw Phillip also recorded the song this same year:co-written by another top ccm artist Bob Bennett, wtg Bob & Phillip. Well known top country artist Anne Murray duets on title song,
"Show Me Your Way"; a most treasured song.
Well known name associated with country music is Jerry Crutchfield, he wrote "The Savior I Sing of Today" in 1966; and it still impacts listeners today.
A trio of well known ccm names provide awesome bgv's for "A Few Good Men"; Chris Harris, Mark Heimermann & Chris Rodriguez. "Where Shadows Never Fall" duet with top gospel singer
Kelly Nelon-Thompson; written by 70's singer/songwriter Jim Weatherly & another known country name, Carl Jackson: this was an award winning song. One can't but help think of chapter 6 of Revelation upon hearing "The Four Horsemen": what a masterpiece song from Jimmy Webb. This is the cd to buy, filled with several well known names; this is at the top of Glen's finest recordings.
GOD Bless! -Don
