Gerard is a songwriter and percussionist from San Diego. The beautiful thing about this album is its clear focus within Scripture. Each song is based around some verses from the Bible clearly expressing the good news of Jesus Christ. The special thanks page spells out the vision that the CD would "spread the word of God." If this is its aim then it is certainly very successful and for those who love their gospel songs strong on theology then this album is for you. "God So Loved The World" is the opening track to the album with a powerful chorus spelling out salvation through the words of that wonderful verse of Scripture. I first heard it on the way back from Cross Rhythms one Saturday and found the whole song very moving leading the Christian to praise and the unbeliever to the cross. If it's gospel worship you want then "Let's All Sing" is one beautiful song based on the first part of Psalm 96. The song speaks of every morning we can wake and realise that God blesses us. Production wise the sound is rather weak and the album has too many songs that don't really catch the ear. But the best material here is powerful gospel worship.
