The press release accompanying the latest live album from the worship arm of Dallas megachurch Gateway claims it "captures a move of God's power, presence and spirit through a special night of worship." As is now expected from this long-running praise aggregation, this is a polished affair with producer Kyle Lee making sure that the whole album - a generous 14 tracks - shines in order to reflect the obvious passion and love that these Texas folks have for their God. Whilst this collection contains a healthy dose of original material delivered with skill and pinpoint precision, there is arguably little to differentiate Gateway's output from the Hillsongs and Bethel Musics of this world and the generally lengthy mid-tempo fare on offer does after a while tend to blend into one very long worship song. Thankfully, the pace picks up near the end with upbeat numbers like "All That I Need" and "Open The Heavens" and this, along with a list of lead vocalists as long as your arm and the aforementioned high standard of production and delivery, helps make this another worthwhile outing from the talented Gateway Worship bunch.
