'Outside' is Gary Chapman's eighth recording for Reunion Records and is yet another polished country-tinged pop outing. The production credits read like a who's who from the Nashville scene, and the quality shows. There is plenty to enjoy in this album, even for a non country music fan. The style ranges from slow sentimental songs which really hit the heart strings to more upbeat songs with a definite message for those who will listen. If you are into country music, then this will spend a fair bit of time in your CD player, and even if you are not, there is nothing here to put you off, though it is a bit on the easy listening side of country.
