The furore of interest created by Gary's exceedingly fine The Light Inside' album has resulted in Reunion blowing the dust off this oldie from 1987 and giving it a release on CD. It was worth the trouble. Here Mr Amy Grant shows himself to have the same grip on pop hooks with an occasional nod at country which made The Light Inside' such a joy. Maybe not all the writing is quite as strong, but the production (co-producer Brown Bannister) is crisp and such songs as the insightful look at relationships "Everyday Man" and the genuinely moving "Love Like Blood" are as timeless as the day Gary cut them. Worth investigating.

Gary's third release after a 5 year hiatus; I have this on
cd, and vinyl also. The cd sports one additional last song
"YOUR Love Stays With Me"; also recorded by Russ Taff in
1993: awesome song! Gary's then wife, Amy Grant supports
him on vocals on some of the songs. Amy is heard on "When
We're Together",and the great John Hiatt song "Love Like
Blood; fantastic duet! "Love that Girl" is for Amy of
course; Gary sang this in concert during an Amy Grant
"unguarded tour" in '86. GOD Bless! -Don
