At the end of 1992 all five of Garth Brooks' albums were in the top 12 LPs on the American pop charts! It is a fact that based on these phenomenal US sales, Garth is currently the best selling artist in the world, so if you add on the good US sales of other new country acts, it does put country music into pole position in the music business. The Chase' continued on from 'Ropin' The Wind' album with advance sales of four million, and personally I prefer it. "We Shall Be Free" is a lovely gospel flavoured opener, and the rest of the album is superb modern country, with some olde tunes "Walking After Midnight", "Dixie Chicken" plus a cowboy song "Night Rider's Lament", with several poignant new ballads Garth is winning new fans to country music.
