This seven-track mini-album from the Texas-based rapper strikes a perfect balance between clarity and depth - clear biblical insights which avoid the cliché or simplistic exhortation with clever wordplay that never becomes too complex or obtuse. The bassy "But God" is a good example, with G.L.O dropping Scriptural truth with personal testimony to produce a deep, rich and true track putting God's truth above all other voices. There are high energy melodies that are guaranteed to engage your soul (like on the jump up "Follow Me"). G.L.O shows both great vocals and a range of different flows - as shown in the beautiful and powerful "Transformation". Clever and contemporary production, from G.L.O's husband, adds to the feel of the project as in "Vapor", and clearly this lady is one of the world's best emcees on the whole Christian rap scene. Here's hoping she makes a return visit to the UK before too long.
