Another slab of rock praise from Fusebox with an album of worshipful vertical lyrics though frontman Billy Buchanan claims they're not a worship band. Interesting distinction eh? So what you get is the usual selection of worship covers including "God Is Great" and "Once Again" though thankfully they've resisted the temptation to cover "Here I Am To Worship" unlike everybody else this year! With a soaring voice and some crunchy guitars, this at first glance looks to shape up to be something amazing but sadly with repeated listenings turns out to just be a good album not totally delivering. Shame really because there are some good moments like the song "Hello" with its spoken words, and the cover version of Joe Cocker's "You Are So Beautiful" which subsequently turns into a worship song! Billy has a fine voice, good ideas but still I believe his best work is ahead and I really want Fusebox to take an even edgier turn in order to stand out from the crowd.
