The multi Grammy, Dove and Stellar Award winner Hammond has been involved in gospel music for over 25 years. His latest 12 track album signals a return to the style of praise and worship that he defined as the standard after leaving Commissioned. The title track also happens to be the lead single from the project and features Hammond's daughter, Breeann, who offers a quintessentially classic gospel number that is uplifting and powerful and contains a bit more breathing space than most of the songs on the album. Being the excellent musician that he is, Hammond is not afraid to experiment and hints of different musical genres appear throughout the album, expertly woven into the gospel bedrock that remains constant throughout. A good example of this is found in "It's Only The Comforter" which has a rock edge as well as being more of a story-telling song about the day of Pentecost. "You Bless Me Over And Over" has an amazing bass riff that almost forces your feet to start dancing and the choir does an excellent job delivering a gospel track with punch! The tight arrangements, funky bass lines, exquisite choral harmonies and arrangements, a smoking hot brass section all held together by a powerful lead vocal is everything a top rate modern gospel album should be and all of these are found here. 'I Will Trust' shows yet again that Fred Hammond can deliver gospel gold!
