Strictly speaking, FIF aren't really truly a ska band anymore since they are beginning to stretch out their sound just a little. If you check out the "rock opera" bonus track that closes this EP, you'll find (he band engaging in a game of musical chairs as they adopt a number of different styles lamenting the loss of a pair of pants. It actually IS more ridiculous than it sounds! Before you get that lunacy, there are eight terrific tracks to feast on. The fast paced ska of the opener "My Evil Plan To Save The World" complete with scratchy guitar bursts with life whilst "All That Is Good" has a touch of indie rock thrown and leaps along with horn stabs and a lyric that explores the gap between grace and judgement. Bizarrely the band include a cover of ELO's 1978 number six hit "Sweet Talking Woman" (probably born from singer Reese Roper's admiration for the British popsters) which is lots of fun and features former Dimestore Prophet and producer of this EP. Masaki on violin! Strange! This EP also has the shortest song I can recall hearing on a Christian album (no doubt Captain Trevor Kirk knows better). "When I Go Out" is seven seconds long. "Get Your Riot Gear" and "One Girl Army" are both in your face, exhilarating musical trips that spit and kick and writhe with energy! Fabulous!
