This is Fireflight's second release following their EP 'On The Subject Of Moving Forward', released two years ago. Fireflight have produced a very heavy progressive rock sound mixed with an occasional sense of emo, sounding fairly similar to Evanescence. This band have nonetheless managed to create a unique sound. Dawn Richardson, lead singer and songwriter, claims that the reason for this is that as a band they decided to sacrifice what they all, individually, wanted to sound like and compromised on the sound that they wanted to adopt, thus resulting in something very different to most of what the Christian rock market is offering currently. Coming from a small Florida town called Eustis the group have waited since 1999 for the right God-given opportunity to record. Dawn's lyrics have been described as selfless and direct that offer hope to those who feel they have been harmed. Dawn and Wendy (two members of the band) explain that they really want to reach the heats of young women who feel downtrodden and rubbished in a society that focuses on outer beauty. With songs like "It's You" and "You Decide" the band try to revive hope in young people. 'The Healing Of Harms' is an album that offers hope and guidance with its God focus.
