London-based Faith Child took his time getting his debut album together but all good things come to those who wait and the result is extremely good. To call Faith Child a rapper or this album hip-hop seems somewhat limiting a description to his musical vision! From the immediate impact of the opening cut "Flashback" which features his testimony, you know that this is something brilliant. He has a knack for creating memorable songs with plenty of hooks from the electro pop of "Here I Am" to the grime of "More Than Music" and the closing worshipful "Trade It All" There is plenty of variation here and in this creative era of London-based hip-hop, plenty of collabs with talented MCs like Jahaziel, GKid and Guvna B adding their skills to the proceedings. In recent times we've had ground-breaking albums from the UK Christian underground by Jahaziel and Victizzle. Now Michael Ayo (aka Faith Child) weighs in with his own bitingly fresh contribution.
