Faith Child's 2009 album 'Illumination' was a big hit with Cross Rhythms radio listeners producing no less than four turntable hits. This top rate followup will no doubt do just as well and build further the London-based emcee's reputation as someone every bit as good as America's top gospel rappers. Talking of the latter, Da'T.R.U.T.H. makes an appearance on "Tunnel Vision" which with its juddering rhythms and challenging flows is one of the killer tracks while some of the top UK talents guesting on 'Airborne' are Jahaziel, AStar, Twelve24 and Jake Isaac. Particular standouts are "Good To Me (ftg Adenke) and "Our Father", full of such unexpected elements as a vocal sung to the tune of "Old Lang Syne" (I lie not!) and a prayer for the homeless; "Over Me", where Faith Child's rapid flows are intersected with Vickytola's languid singing; and "Keeping Up With The Jones (ftg Jahaziel and S.O.)" which with its "make money, make money, money" gives the bling culture the hammering it deserves.
