This is the sixth offering (seventh if you include the 'Take Me As I Am' EP from 1998) from pop/harmony group FFH. With 'Voice From Home' they have taken the concept album approach with each of the 12 songs being told from God's perspective. The group have based the CD on the book of the same name as the album title by pastor and author Rich Stevenson. Essentially the album explores the theme that in this world of ours there are voices everywhere that speak out to us but the most important voice of all that is still speaking today is that of the voice of a Heavenly Father. Whether we choose to hear and listen or act upon that voice is another matter. Stylistically there is nothing here which really makes it that different from the 2004 release 'Still The Cross'. Track number four has hints of Bruce Springsteen's classic "Born To Run" but it doesn't rock the same as the boss's hit. However these are well crafted pop songs that will appeal to fans of Avalon or Steven Curtis Chapman. There is also a "Sonicflood" type conversation circa Sonicflood's first CD which is listed as track 12; this is all very well but once you've heard it a couple of times you'll want to skip it.

Product Description
A project unlike any other, pop group FFH's latest album, Voice From Home, takes a look at the topic of worship from a different perspective. Today's worship movement has forged tremendous ground in teaching God's people how to express their love, thankfulness and need. However, we sometimes forget to listen for what God has to say back to his people, such as the words of encouragement, hope and love as expressed through the scriptures.
Voice From Home picks up on the other end of that worship conversation, speaking from God's perspective the wonderful words found in scripture that you have always longed to hear. Rooted in FFH's original pop sound and singable melodies, Voice From Home captures God's message of healing, peace and love for his people in a fresh and captivating new way.
