It's amazing how the success of a band sees record companies scurrying trying to find something which sounds just like them to jump on the bandwagon. At this moment A&R men across the USA are searching for "the next Delirious?" and "the next Jars Of Clay". Since the Jars boys' debut has just racked up its two millionth sale, you can understand that someone at Essential Records must have jumped up and down with glee when they heard FFH!! Here's a band who have all the great melodies, lush vocal harmonies and jangly acoustic guitars of Jars and yet their own personality too. The success of their independent release 'One Of These Days' caught Essential's ear and they have taken that basic album and added a couple of new tunes to give the band an extra kick and here they are! It's the songwriting of Jeremy Deibler that is really impressive. From the jaunty fun of "Big Fish" to the Jars soundalike "Wholly To You" and the reflective pop perfection of "One Of These Days" with its total singalong chorus, FFH are clearly in a position to establish themselves beyond the bandwagon as purveyors of ministry based pop that has the power to touch the listener.

Recorded in '98, but released in early February'99.
What a fresh new sound for the CCM genre.
I had heard ccm radio play title song "I Want to be Like
YOU"; I fell in love with the song right away.
But I do believe the actual first song I had heard was
"So Is His Love"; another one I love wholeheartedly.
GOD, LORD and JESUS are heard; and you know without a doubt
who the "His", and "You" is that the songs mention; great
lyrics I might add.
This is a much welcomed group to this category of music.
Great vocals, Jeromy Deilber knows how to
sing out these songs to grab listeners; his wife Jennifer
also sings lead on "I'm Alright". The cd starter "One of
These Days" is every believer's words of the heart. "Big
Fish" is another one of those songs that make an impression;
sure to be a classic someday in ccm. "Wholly To YOU" should
have been played on ccm radio, it's a great worship song!
"Little Change" will speak to all who listen intently.
I cannot say sufficiently in words what the last song does,
a very much needed song, something that we don't hear enough
of in the ccm sound. There is still
"POWER IN HIS BLOOD"; this song puts everything that we know
into it's right perspective: the perfect cd closer. GOD
Bless, Don
