More than 10 years after Ultrabeat, Erik Augustsson is back with a new single and the hope of an album to follow. "No Compromise" is the first song, with a radio mix and a club mix. His vocal has developed well and is presented confidently here. The sounds and stylistic riffs will be embarrassingly dated for some regular clubbers though. The opening riff with its topsy-turvy rhythms is clever, but is bound to cause a tumble on the dance floor! The second song on offer is "We Will Follow". This is a song of worship, but the use of an expressionless and repetitive robotic voice declaring "Jesus, we will follow you" is simply dismaying. There is unfortunately no way to recover the song after that. Hopefully a new album will be filled with more substance.
