Here we have 25 of Elvis's gospel recordings on one CD which represents tremendous value for money especially if you don't have many of the original tracks. It begins with "How Great Thou Art" and concludes with Elvis's stunning version of "Peace In The Valley". The rest of the tracks are mainly selected from various gospel albums that Elvis recorded over the years. One of the titles "He Touched Me" was a landmark recording as it gave Bill Gaither great commercial success as a writer and Elvis won a Grammy for the album of the same name; historians of gospel music will also maintain that it gave gospel music huge credibility in the American mainstream musical scene. This is a wonderful collection of really good material with Elvis pouring his heart and soul into the music that meant the most to him.
