Praise the Lord for those musos on this side of the pond who don't fob off our youngsters with ghastly Cedarmont-style mawkishness masquerading as praise and worship for kids. One of the enlightened ones is Doug Horley, and his new album follows on from 'We Want To See Jesus Lifted High', which Sammy Horner raved about (and he should know) in CR33. The only thing Sammy could criticise was Doug's waistcoat; evidently the Clothing Taste Police haven't caught up with him yet, because he sports a deckchair material-type shirt this time - yellow and green stripes, no less! The musical brew is as before; lots of fun, for grown ups as well as kids, lots of great hooks and slamming beats, meaningful lyrics and great value for money, nearly 55 minutes of music. The Wembley Stadium rocker "Come Out Of Darkness" is here, as is "Let Your Fire Fall", but top track for me is the title track with a chorus in New Testament Greek over an African beat, adding up to a seven minute soaring anthemic hymn of praise to the King of Heaven. The Old Book says that God is delighted when we praise him; he must be thrilled with this album. Indispensable.
