Vocally Doug, best known for his work with Ernie Hasse & Signature Sound, will put you in mind of Glen Campbell. There is a very strong opening track "Jesus Is Holding My Hand" which sets the tone for an fine album of modern contemporary Christian songs, several written by Joel Lindsey and Wayne Haun, the latter also who has arranged the whole project. My favourite has to be the very country style "Only Here For A Little While", where Ernie Hasse & Signature Sound provide the backing and with a lyric that recalls Kenny Roger's big country hit "Coward Of The County". I also enjoyed Doug's duet with Charlotte Ritchie, "That's How Much I Need A Savior". Overall, a pretty impressive solo debut.

Product Description
Playing basketball in Indiana may give a young man NBA dreams but Doug Anderson found an even greater mission after winning awards as a basketball player: singing. Now Doug is Dreamin’ Wide Awake as he adds a country-flavoured contagious new solo project to his musical CV.
Anderson, a member of Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, is being moved into the spotlight this year by owner and album executive producer, Ernie Haase - and for good reason.
“Fans have been asking for a solo project from Doug for years and now is the time. This kid could sing the Yellow Pages and make me cry. He really has that much soul in his delivery,” explains Ernie.
This CD is wonderful! Especially the song 'That's how much I need a Saviour'. The text is so beautiful! You should buy it;)
