Compared with the sleigh bell excess of many yuletide albums this is a gem. As the publicity blurb says, "Dennis Jernigan has brought the praise and worship experience to the Christmas season." There are no trad carols here, contemporary songs on the birth of Christ with arrangements ranging from a strummed acoustic to a 150 voice choir. Recorded live before 2,000 worshippers it certainly evokes far more Christmas atmosphere than some of those dire carols muzak albums.
