Philadelphia-based songwriter Denison Witmer travels light on this home recorded five song EP with acoustic accompaniment and featherlight textures proving to be the perfect surroundings for these gentle songs. Poetic observations and broken hearts are the order of the day, so "Healing Time" is a beautiful description of the possibility of taking the listener to the quiet place where healing can happen. At the other extreme, "You Got Me Good" is a moving confessional of a love lost and the complications when the object of love moves on and loves another. Witmer is the master of bittersweet lyrics, exploring the uncertainty of life and relationships and yet still able to still find meaning in the middle of lost happiness. Melancholic and strangely beautiful.
