This is the debut album from a gospel rapper/singer from Atlanta, Georgia. This is an album to encourage the listener to believe that his or her identity is in Christ or as Demetrus puts it himself "No matter what you have been told you are still God's child". Sean D Senior, aka Demetrus, is a competent rapper and also singer and tracks like "What Goes Around", "Never Ever", "Live My Life" and the anthemic "Jesus" put his skills on show. There are plenty of collaborations too for example neo-soul gospel sensation Lisa McClendon is heard on "God's Child", while fellow rapper/singer Canton Jones guests on "We Coming Thru" and reggae artist Mr Lynx makes an appearance on "We Need Love". Overall, 'God's Child' is a well-produced set.
