A classy sixth offering from Deliverance featuring the impeccable production from Brown. Some driving riffs, in fact brilliant riffs all the way through. Lyrics are interesting, my favourite are, "If I chose the darkest corridor of time it's only 'cos I was blind/But I feel the edge of the mercy shores and it tells me you are with me," in a song called "Make My Bed In Hell", inspired by Psalm 139. Brown uses the over theatrical vocal style experimented with on the last album, but the melodies and riffs are so good I'd love to hear some sung 'normally', Galactic Cowboys style. Only nine tracks, including a pretty lame cover of Bowie's "Beauty And The Beast". But a fine purchase anyway, with an attention-grabbing "Panning left and right and shooting backwards" outro to the first track! (You'll have to get it to find out what I'm on about!)
