The "Deeper" single deserves to be the song of the summer. Infectious, catchy and as perfect a piece of Brit pop as you could want to hear. Driven by Jon Thatcher's wonderful, fluid, punchy bass playing, Stuart Garrard wears his Radiohead influences on his sleeve or at least his plectrum and from the opening tinkle of the tambourine through to the closing triumphant chord this is a brilliant little single. Hopefully by the time you read this, it'll be high in the charts and the milkman will be whistling it! The single gives you a studio and album mix of the single - the latter nearly a minute longer. You also get an incredible stream of consciousness mix of "Louder Than The Radio" which is totally stripped down and given an ambient dance feel. There's also the 'Live And In The Can' version of "Come Like You Promise" which existing fans will already have but new arrivals on Planet Delirious? will find a useful pointer to their back catalogue. If you haven't bought it yet, shame on you! If you're lucky, there's probably a copy knocking around at HMV.
