It's nine albums in for the gospel star but still the creative maverick that is Deitrick Haddon remains determinedly eclectic, taking in different styles continuously and allowing his sinuously soulful voice to glide over delicate balladry, church wrecking stompers and on one marvellous cut here, retro funk. Sometimes the stylistic dipping doesn't completely come off, the opener "Where You Are" is techno-tinged rock on which Deitrick's voice seems somewhat out of place. But elsewhere it works perfectly. "I'm Alive" is what Billboard described as a "hook-heavy gift of hope" while "Love Him Like I Do", featuring special guests Ruben Studdard and Mary Mary, is a jaunty offering of thanks to God with a groove that seems straight out of the R&B Top 40. The absolute killer cut here is "Go With Me". Toby Mac might have in the past paid tribute to retro funk but it takes a talent like Deitrick to really bring home the full dancefloor vibrancy of the genre. If you like your gospel urgently urban and convincingly contemporary buy 'Revealed'. You're unlikely to like every cut on here but with 15 classily produced tracks to choose from you're bound to find some of your own favourites.

Product Description
Deitrick Haddon is celebrated as one of the most diverse and versatile artists in modern Gospel music, and with his latest CD offering, he further exemplifies exactly why this is!
On the heels of the aggressive and staunchly urbanskewed '7 Days', Deitrick returns with an equally heavy-hitting pop/rock-tinged soundtrack of intense praise and sincere worship. In this career-defining move, Deitrick sows the seeds for another branch in his ever-growing and expansive tree of ministry.
While not forsaking the bass and strong rhythms that his listeners have grown accustomed to and quite fond of, Deitrick incorporates new sounds, manifest in the prominent guitar licks, big drum sequences and sustained notes.
Deitrick’s latest recordings are indicative of worldwide ministry; limitless genre-shattering and universal. His vocals are as passionate as ever, as exemplified in 'The Lord’s Prayer' and 'The Word'; his lyrics filled with profundities, as in 'Jesus 4 Prez', and his messages remain relatable and redeeming, as in 'Save Yourself'.
Produced by Deitrick, along with his brother Gerald Haddon, as well as heavy-hitters Warryn Campbell and Dre & Vidal, this collection of songs is compelling, progressive, and masterfully conceived.
Tracks like 'God’s Love', 'I Need Your Help' and 'I’m Alive' are sure to establish themselves as genre-furthering, bar-setters to which all future contemporary Gospel music will aspire.
Deitrick has outdone himself and continues to demolish any box that he finds trying to encapsulate his ministry, or most importantly…God!
