Stop Press! This is a special report. I am ordering you to do everything in your power to get hold of this baby. Dear Ephesus are quite simply the most stunning new Christian band to emerge in the last couple of years. Alas, this EP is only a limited edition release so be sure to be quick in searching out the copy with your name on it. About the music: it's flawless, beautiful and moving. It is also a huge leap forward from their debut album "The Consolidation Of Pianissimo', especially production-wise, and Aaron Wiederspahn's vocals now sound powerful in the mix. Musically too this is a positive step as all the tunes here are instantly anthemic. There are five songs, one of which appeared on the album and the other four tracks are comprised of newer material. "A Boy And His Kite" sounds much better this time around. "Misplaced Feelings Of A Past Day" begins by creating a dreamy soundscape and then going powerfully into the realisation of "the time to turn and walk away from yesterday" in the chorus. "Ichabod" is a moody representation of man's selfishness wrestling with God. The final track, "A Place Called Slumber", sounds so warm it'll give you what charismatics call the "warm and fuzzies"! Lyrics are of the highest quality, combining honesty with a heart that aches for God. It is great to encounter a band with such immense talent whose purpose is solely to follow God. Dear Ephesus do not appear to have any desire to be on a "better" label, I might add, so perhaps they've actually understood Matthew 7:24!

Just in case my last comment made it through the moderator, sorry to Phil who’ll probably never realise I responded to his comment in an arrogant and condescending manner.

I was shocked to find out that View of Epic Proportions was indeed recorded before The Consolation of Pianissimo according to Bandcamp. I just assumed it was because my ears told me the production was better!

If only I’d have taken the time to check before I got up my ivory tower.

A View of Epic Proportions was released prior to the Consolation of Piannissimo.

Sorry I must inform you that AVOEP was released after TCOP. I know this because I bought TCOP before I went to Cornerstone 98, where it was made very clear that AVOP was their most recent release
