From their first album in 1977 Eddie DeGarmo (keyboards, vocals) and Dana Key (guitar, vocals) were CCM pioneers taking in a wide range of styles from Hall & Oates-style blue eyed soul to Styx-style stadium rock. There have been numerous compilations of their hits and misses down the years but if you're interested this cheap and cheerful rummage through the archive is a reasonable introduction to the band with several cuts reminiscent of Toto, Genesis and Journey - the haircuts confirming their '80s genesis. Songs like "Out Of The Danger Zone" and "Every Moment" easily carry the weaker of the 12 tracks. The duo finally stopped playing in 1995 in which time they had recorded 15 albums, but unfortunately you won't find out any of this information on the minimalist packaging. VH1 viewers will warm to this CD though.

I absolutely love this cd. I am a new fan, I heard them at
2008 cornerstone, but I saw them play in the 80's when I
took my teenage daughter to see them. I'm sure I loved them
then as I did remember the dynamics of their live show with
eddie degarmo
