In 1998 Dallas-based David & Nicole Binion left the role of associate pastor/worship leader to minister in churches leading worship across the world. The style on this studio album blends soft pop with a hint of gospel and jazz, with a worship lyrical base. The best-known song to my ears is "Seek Your Face" which sets the overall style. Nicole's vocal style is ideally suited to this style of song. It is not until track four that we hear David's vocals, although he does take lead vocals on "Goodbye To Me" later on. My favourite track is "I'm Gonna Praise The Lord", which opens with great lead guitar from Sherrod Barnes and lyrics which soon stick with you after a few listens (writing credits include Michael English on this track). Well worth checking out.
