One of the new breed of young worship leaders, the very talented David Lyon is already making waves on the Scottish scene and will soon be giving Martin Smith and Matt Redman a run for their money. The plan behind this privately recorded and produced album was simple: write a pile of gorgeous worship songs and hire the best musicians and singers you can to record them! Fortunately, David has some very talented friends. The album features the beautiful voice of Joanna Holland, heard on the live Grapevine albums, and session drummer Alex Cook spreads his wings and gives his emotive voice a workout on two of the songs. Johnny Markin (who also co-wrote four of the songs) sings on two tracks and lends his guitar skills to the lion's share of the material, with Little Town bassist Steve Lawson weaving his magic through the lower frequencies and David handling all piano and keyboard parts himself with great sensitivity and skill. The result is a beautiful, moving album of worship material which deserves big label interest. If the private recording lag usually puts you off. take a chance on "Precious Little Things' - you won't be disappointed.
