Reviewed by Paul Gallagher This compilation of two of DCB's previously limited edition EPs ('Yellow' and 'Green'...see what they did there?) is supposedly a mini-album, but there's enough inspiration and originality here to make it an essential purchase for anyone who values great worship music. There are three reasons for this: Firstly, David Crowder Band are exactly that; a band, and each individual member's passionate and skillful contribution is essential and unique, and you can hear that as you listen. Secondly, while being immensely gifted at bringing people into a place of worship before God, DCB also manage to be playful with their music. For example, the opening song "Make A Joyful Noise / I Will Not Be Silent" begins as a reflective acoustic cry of worship, segues seamlessly into a fun and funky disco pastiche, and finally builds to an awesome full-on rock praise climax. It doesn't sound like it should work, but this band pull it off, and it makes for a fantastic (and quite moving) listening experience. Thirdly, DCB take old songs that you must have heard or sung hundreds of times ("Undignified", "Every Move IMake") and breathe new life into them with an ability that can only be God-inspired. If you're looking for some music to bring you to a new understanding of God and how we praise him, you can't do without this CD.
