The second album from this New Jersey singer/songwriter compares well with other, better known New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi, Southside Johnny And The Asbury Dukes and Bruce Springsteen. All the rock staples are here from the stadium filling opener "Change" through to the quiet rock ballad of "What Would I Do" - including a beautiful sax solo from Dave - with a few twists in between to keep the interest going. Apart from the closing track "Wonderful Maker", penned by Chris Tomlin/Matt Redman, all the tracks are written by Dave, his producer Frank Di Minno or the pair of them together. They are all well written, do not pull punches and quite often use some interesting metaphors; the outstanding "God's TV" being an excellent example using the making of a TV series as a parallel for our lives before God. With high quality musicianship throughout this is a rock album that can be enjoyed on many levels.
