Aliive worship album that brings a range of rootsy instruments and styles certainly unusual and welcome in an arena that can too often be bland. Fiddle, accordion, pipes and lots of ethnic percussion are the icing on the cake that is a tight band of acoustic guitar, bass and drums. The tunes are, in the main, catchy and in "I Surrender" we have a wonderfully beautiful prayer. However there is a major difficulty with Dave's vocals which don't always suit the densely textured rhythms produced by the band. Dave has, of course, a powerful ministry and down the years has written his share of worship classics. But though many people will, no doubt, find 'Live At Marsham Stree' helping them worship I would urge more discerning lovers of acoustic-orientated music to seek out the likes of Stonehill, Mark Heard, Cockburn, all contemporaries of Dave Bilbrough.
