The Nashville-based singer/songwriter's sixth studio album is a heart-warming, pleasant listen. From the first track, "White Flag", the album ebbs and flows in an up-tempo manner. There is enough variety to keep the listener interested, with jazzy influences on "Heaven Help Me" giving way to the slow burning ballad "Love Will Be Enough". He deals with the somewhat typical issues of love in all its manifestations - from learning to ask for forgiveness to an admission of missing another person. Barnes' vocals add depth to the songs, which are a little light otherwise. This is not a bad album, and it easy to see why Barnes has been compared to the likes of John Mayer, but overall, whilst he knows how to write a good pop song, the album can at times lack depth. This, however, is not the case in the album's closing track, "One Of Us", in which he sings tenderly to his yet-to-be-born child about becoming part of the family.
