An album from Canadian singer songwriter Darla Smith Socan in a style that's often described as "inspirational" or worshipful. On 'A Pure Heart' whilst well intentioned, the backing is a little bit cheesy and the production values make the overall sound a little dated six years later. Darla's voice is clear, in tune but not special enough to really hold the attention. The songs themselves all sound like something else I've heard before so though this is all very nice, it's not original.
