I love the sound and the aggressive assault the lyrics give
the heart on this excellent album. Some may well class this
kind of music as just about going out of date now, but not
so with me.
The album begins on a very extreme high point, with "Central
Theme" cutting to the chase about just who should be the
centre of our very existance. Sad how so much gets in the
way of this notion today.
"Alarma" heralds that usual kind of Terry Scott Taylor song,
the one that stabs you in the heart and may leave you for
dead if you dont accept the truth of the songs simple
statement.
"Cloak and Dagger" deals with just how should one convey
their beliefs properly...yes, and a very grey area this is
for many of us today in this oppressive world.
"Hit Them" is a beautiful catchy love drive, and theres some
great guitar licks to add to the brilliance.
"Baby Game" could apply to both sides of the sexes, we all
have been this kind of hollow babyish idiot when we dont
always get to have our own way. And this is supposed to be a
good life for us all, but our selfishness frequently gets in
the way!
"Walls of Doubt" has to be a DA classic, with wonderful
truth of if you doubt you may not get anywhere....but just
rely on Christ and you will see heaven.
Alarma is a formidable album, full of spiritual spice and
flavour that doesnt leave the heart once its tasted!
New wave!!!!
