The Canadian singer/songwriter opens with the title track which introduces the listener to his journey through personal tragedy and into an unerring faith in God's faithfulness. This is shown in the song "In His Hands", which includes the lyrics "He is God and he knows all of it ...from the moment when my mother died, to the first breath of my baby, I felt that God was with me in the heartache and the joy." Bremnes scooped Song Of The Year for "Beautiful" at the 36th annual GMA Canadian Covenant Awards, but my favourite track here is "Heart On Fire", with deft drumming behind a catchy guitar hook. Similarly "Faith Is" shows Dan's roots as a drummer with plenty of off beats and intricacies, punching home the message "Head-first, reckless, that's what faith is." Dan continues to show more of his attention-grabbing vocals, not least as he ends "He Knows", before he closes this album beautifully with "At Your Feet (Surrender)", a song which would enrich many a worship set. Both musically and lyrically, this album is exceptional.
