Could you name the world's longest running broadcast? If one of the Soaps was your final answer you would be kissing goodbye to that million pounds in Chris Tarrant's piggy bank. For over 70 years BBC Radio Four has beamed out The Daily Service from All Souls, Langham Place in London's West End to a faithful band of listeners who particularly appreciate the purity of the programme's singers. Clearly this, their first ever commercial recording, is extremely long overdue. Besides the expected classic hymns, anthems such as "Praise My Soul" and "When I Survey", the listener can hear the best of modern worship songs including "The Servant King" and "How Deep The Father's Love". Their hymn-like style suits the Singers perfectly and proves that writers like Stuart Townend are providing the Daily Service with a secure future in a new century.
