Reviewed by Stella Redburn 20 tracks, each featuring the solid, dependable, chunky sound that emanates from the team from Southampton. The band have been going since 1998 in various incarnations. This is their fifth album and the experience shows. It's a live recording CD and DVD set made at the Freedom Centre, Jersey and I love the high energy and sheer enjoyment in the music; you can tell the audience is with them all the way. The five band members pump out their distinctive, uncompromising rock numbers with unashamed Christian lyrics delivered by Tom Bonard's crystal clear vocals, searing guitar solos from Steve Szymanski, funky keyboards from Phil LeCheminant and dense bass and drums throughout. "Awake", like so many of the songs, has a catchy strap-line as it delivers their version of Psalm 108. Many of the tracks are pure worship, like "I Bow Down" and "Adore", while some, like "Comfortable Silence", deal with issues like how to get closer to God. Most songs are home-grown and very good they are too, but they do include a couple of covers, "Everlasting God" and "Holy And Anointed One".
