Now here's a band who give a great deal of thought to the lyrics. Every song here has been carved out with all the songwriting ability of a McCartney or Costello. Lead singer Mike Salt has the dramatic ability to inflict the full power of these words in an incisive and hard hitting manner. "Cross Of Wood" is by far their best number when playing live, however here it does not have quite the delivery. "We're Praying" is moody, deep felt and is so well done that it almost turns into a rock lullaby. Eight tracks in all and an effective contribution to the grassroots scene. Production wise they need to get closer to their live sound where generally one player takes the lead at a time
